Kashif Saroya grew up in Pakistan, the youngest in a family of four children. His family emphasized the importance of education and Kashif was enrolled in Islamic Studies and Quranic Studies classes at an early age.
Kashif attended a boys' boarding university-preparatory school called Aitchison College, where he authored and published a book on Chemistry as a high school student.
At the age of seventeen, Kashif moved to the United States to study business at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where he was active in the Muslim Students Association, interned as a Research Assistant, and worked as a Resident Assistant.
After obtaining a degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Kashif moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to work in the Information Technology field.
Kashif joined the Muslim Youth of Minnesota as the President of the Advisory Council in 2002. He also serves as the Public Relations Director for the Muslim Youth Leadership Award, is a member of the Islamic Resource Group and teaches 12th grade Islamic Studies at the Islamic Center of Minnesota Sunday School. Kashif is a former Board Member of the Islamic Center of Minnesota.
In his spare time, Kashif enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with his family.
